Anna at Play!

Since the new gate has gone up there is a sense of security for me but I still wonder what she is doing. These are some pictures I was able to capture without her noticing too much. Of course I can't be as quiet as she can be so she caught me on this one.
This picture is a little dark because the sun was shining but she is in her play box. She does a great job of playing alone. With her favorite shows on and plenty of fun toys she doesn't manage to find too much trouble.
I don't think daddy is going to get his room back anytime soon. I don't think he minds either. She loves his room and over all it is the safest room in the house. She also does a great job of calling out to me when I am call her name. She thinks it is funny and I'm very thankful that she answers back. Such a fun little girl.

Jail Bird?

Anna has been very busy crawling everywhere and as her interest in walking expands she needs boundaries. So today daddy set her up with this fancy gate and with the look on her face she doesn't seem to mind it.....yet! Now she can travel freely up and down the hallway and play in daddy's den without too much worry (for us) any more. I hope this happiness lasts because this is probably just the beginning for miss Anna!

On the Move!

Our little Anna is really on the go these days! Now that she is feeling better we really are on the lookout for her. She moves very quickly and people ask about the wood floors bothering her crawling and she's worked that issue out. I like them because I can hear her little hands as they hit the floor every time she crawls.
She is exploring the dining room that was always dark and she never showed any interest in. Now she loves finding all these new spots in the house. I love watching her get excited to find these new places and to watch her figure out situations.
She got quiet and this is what I found as I was trying to figure out where she went while I was in the kitchen washing dishes. Something new everyday! She is also eating up a storm and I've been able to steer away from baby food and finding she enjoys the freshly cooked foods that I run through the food mill! We are having so much fun and everyday is a new adventure!

Ups and Downs of the Cold Season

Anna has been busy the last few months trying to get those teeth in and always managing to get a cold virus crud everytime. Well this time she got a cold all by herself....oh wait....she shared it with mommy! It was ok we got over it a lot more quickly than the past few times!:) Still it was no fun being stuffed up and runny nosed when we really just wanted to be playing!
It didn't stop Anna from exploring! My little kitchen helper practicing her lifting capabilities. Doesn't seem to be having a problem here!

But the one thing that is better than a blanky and sometimes even mommy and daddy is her handy little thumb. Mind you this is breakfast time not night-night time!

Shoe Shopping!

We had a special visit with Grandma Patsy last Sunday so we went to LaConner. We had a yummy lunch at Seeds and then we went for a long walk all the way down town! Of course you have to hit the kid stores and on our first stop we found these adorable shoes! They are a little stronger than her slippers she's been wearing so that, in Anna's eyes, makes them very different! Yes! She loves them! This was Monday morning and Anna's first time wearing them. Cute huh, Anna?
Then she needed to tell Jack all about them! So thankful there are french doors for these animals to entertain little Anna! Everyday is surrounded by these guys! They give her kisses all over the window but we don't care, it's the thought that counts!
Anna letting mommy get a good look at her new shoes! So cute!

Auntie's Sweater!

Great Auntie Bonnie brought Anna this darling sweater at the hospital the night she was born. I found it in the closet and I could hardly believe that it fit already! Time flies! It is such a pretty color! Thank you Auntie for such a special gift!

Children's Museum

Shelby is back in town after her fun family trip to Florida! So we picked her up from school last Monday and headed out to our local Children's Museum! Shelby's favorite activity is climbing the rope and ringing the bell at the top! Go Shelby!
Shelby helped Anna while enjoying a look at the little sea turtles!
Anna had a good time even though she wasn't feeling great! She was a trooper and enjoyed watching Shelby show her the ropes!

New Foods!

Anna is getting a chance to catch up on some fun ways of eating her favorite foods. While she spent the last month and a half feeling up and down with her 6 teeth coming in and colds to match them it hasn't left much time for fun foods! Here is the little food sock that Grandma gave her so she can safely try grown up foods. The hit of the day was a frozen banana slice. Yummy!
But very cold! But oh so good!
She ate the whole thing! So now we have a new favorite dessert! I wonder what we'll be trying next?

On the Move!

Yes, it has finally happened.....Anna is crawling full speed ahead! All small dogs watch out! She is all over the place and mommy and Anna just love it! Anna still makes daddy very nervous but he'll get over it!
This was the first day that she made her way from the den thru the family room to say hello to her doggy's outside! I like the thumbs up! Thank goodness I left the camera in the kitchen so I didn't miss this proud moment.
There are her buddies Jack and Zeke waiting for her to come out to play! With all the decent weather we've been having the dogs have been spoiled with daily walks but not today. Little to cold and we had things to do! Maybe tomorrow!
